Sexuellt urval och anpassning till nya miljöer

Vår forskning handlar om att förstå hur individuell selektion kan ändra mutationshastigheter och deras påverkan på fenotypen, samt hur detta i sin tur kan påverka evolutionära och demografiska processer hos organismer med sexuell reproduktion.
Vi kombinerar experiment och kvantitativa genetiska data på fenotyper med molekylära genetiska data för att undersöka dessa processer, men även andra relaterade frågor inom sexuell selektion och livshistoria-teori.
Vi jobbar huvudsakligen med insekter som modellsystem, men nyttjar även andra organismer genom samarbeten med andra forskargrupper. Våra huvudsakliga forskningsinriktningar är:
- Sexuellt urval och anpassning till nya miljöer
- Påverkan av arv och miljö på DNA-reparation och mutationshastigheter
- Evolutionen av mutationers effekt i olika miljöer
