Internships

Every year, we welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who complete their internships with us at U-CARE and the Healthcare Sciences and e-Health research group. Recently, we have hosted masters students in Global Health and Psychology, as well as PhD students through the EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks and the EU-funded Erasmus+ exchange programme.

As an intern, you get to participate in an ongoing research project. Your work tasks vary depending on the type of research project you are involved in. Examples of tasks may include conducting literature searches, recruiting study participants, collecting and analysing data, assisting with administrative tasks, and arranging scientific meetings. An internship with us may provide an opportunity to contribute as a co-author to a scientific article.

All our interns are trained in the research methods used in the current project and receive regular supervision, usually weekly. As an intern, you are also invited to participate in our research group's seminar series and our external scientific events. Carrying out your internship with us means that you will have a great opportunity to expand your network, both within our research group and with our external collaborators.

Please use the contact form below if you are interested in doing your internship with us.

You have the opportunity to do your internship for varying durations, ranging from a few weeks to an entire semester. Whenever possible, we provide a workspace in our office at Uppsala Science Park.
