Knowledge organisation and documentation

The research on knowledge organisation, collections and scientific and scholarly communication and knowledge production focuses on questions that relate to the use and creation of collections, documentation and documents. Collections created and used for scientific and scholarly research are increasingly perceived as a resource and infrastructure for broader stakeholder groups and societal activities. The studies conducted at the Department of ALM cover collections in broad sense from digital and physical collections of diverse artefacts and objects to books, illustrations and images, videogames, data and archival records.
