Ongoing activities

The development work in accordance with the European Charter is ongoing and is an integral part of Uppsala University's management and governance since the original project organisation was completed. This means that the strategic decisions made for Uppsala University in line with the Charter come directly from management at various levels within the University.

Examples of ongoing activities from the action plan 2024-2026:

  • Project- Develop concrete support for those responsible for implementing the policy for work environment and equal conditions, the plan for gender mainstreaming and the University's employee policy.
  • Organise occasions for exchange of experience between recruitment groups working with teacher recruitment within the faculties.
  • Develop and implement a leadership programme, academic leadership cycle, aimed at the university management level and also including an integrated mentoring programme for junior leaders.

Implemented activities

On the basis of the initial GAP analysis carried out under the European Charter, several development needs were identified and have now been addressed. New needs in line with the Charter are continuously identified and addressed in action plans.

The activities in the action plans for the period 2018-2024 have been completed.
