Within the research program for physical chemistry, we use physics - primarily thermodynamics and quantum mechanics - to explain and study chemical phenomena at the molecular level.
Our research
Our research focuses around solar cells, artificial photosynthesis and solar fuel, as well as chemical dynamics.

Members of the research programme for Physical Chemistry
Education within Physical Chemistry
You can study physical chemistry at Uppsala University through our Master programme in chemistry which includes a special study track towards physical chemistry. As a physical chemist It's useful to take courses in mathematics and physics. Closely related to physical chemistry is also the study track in Chemistry for renewable energy.
There are also courses (Swedish only) in physical chemistry within our Bachelor programme in chemistry and also the chemical engineering program.
