Processing of personal data by the scholarship management system

The scholarship management system handles the entire chain with the scholarships, from application to review and decision as well as documentation of scholarship holdings and information to the scholarship holders and monitoring of scholarships. In this chain, some of your personal data are processed.

Students, researchers and others apply for scholarships via the system behind login. This service includes, among other things, showing available scholarships and an application part. Scholarship holders can also see information about their scholarship holdings and underlying decisions.

To be able to handle scholarship applications, we store information when you log in and when you apply for a scholarship. In connection with logging in and using the Scholarship Management service, a number of different personal data about you are processed. These are:

  • eduPersonPrincipalName, unique identifier from federated login (e.g., Joint Web Login at Uppsala University), in the case you have chosen to use this login method (called "Single SignOn" in the service)
  • givenName
  • surname
  • email
  • Personal Identity Number

No personal data is disclosed to third parties or third countries (countries that are not members of the EU or EEA).

The controller of personal data is liable to, upon request from an applicant, provide a transcript of personal data records for that applicant. The personal data is retained as long as needed for the administration of the scholarships system.
