Emotions in information practices

About the project

The project, “Emotions in information practices“, will investigate the diverse role of emotions within the field of information science, with a focus on understanding their impact on information practices. Beyond the mere exchange of facts and data, emotions play a profound role in influencing how information is processed, shared, and trusted across various communication settings. Therefore, the project seeks to uncover how emotional aspects influence content creation, information delivery, and knowledge sharing within a contemporary information practice.

The project is part of the research school ReSource: Transforming Reading and Source Criticism in Digital Cultures and is part of the research field of Learning and Information Literacy Research.

The thesis (thesis by publication) will be written in English.

Supervisors: Åse Hedemark, Ulrika Kjellman, Jonas Söderholm.
