Domain Name
The Division for University IT Services approves new domain names. Riktlinjer inom IT-området is the guideline that is the basis for decisions on the matter. If you are in need of a domain name, please send an e-mail with your request to domainmaster@uu.se. The routines for domain name are available below.

Routine for approval of domain name
- If you have a request for a domain name, please read through Riktlinjer inom IT-området to see if the name meets the formal requirements
- Mail your request for a domain name to domainmaster@uu.se.
- The Communications Division makes a decision on the domain name.
- Before you can start using the domain name, it will be connected to the relevant department/division via the University authentication and authorization system ("AKKA").
- The domain name is added to the domain name management system DNS.
- If the email addresses should be connected to the domain and this should be handled by the University's mail system, the domain will be added as an authorized mail domain in AKKA.
- The Domainmaster will notify you when the domain is ready for use.
