Translational studies of organ failure during intensive care
Our lab focus on translational aspects of organ failure during intensive care with a particular interest in electrolyte and fluid balance in acute kidney injury and heart failure. In addition, the lab participates in the Uppsala Intensive Care Biobank studying causes of critical illness, with a focus on Sepsis, ARDS and COVID-19. Finally, we participate in large scale studies of genetic determinants of critical illness in SweCovid (https://swecovid.org) and the international collaboration COVID-19 Host Genetics Initiative (https://www.covid19hg.org).
