Microsoft - Workplace Discount Program (WDP)

The Microsoft "Workplace Discount Program" (WDP) is an offer to you as an employee at Uppsala University. Through the university's agreement with Microsoft, you can purchase certain software, hardware and other services from Microsoft at a reduced price.

NOTE: The university's agreement only offers discounted prices. When you use the service, you enter into a private agreement with Microsoft. The University does not takes responsibility for this private agreement, your private account with Microsoft, or for the costs and the need for support that may result from this agreement.

Verify your identity and connect to Microsoft

To take advantage of the offer, you must first verify employment at Uppsala University, confirming that you are eligible for the discount. To do that you must use the email address registered to your university ID (AKKA ID).

  1. Go to the Microsoft website: www.microsoft.com/sv-se/workplace-discount-program?rtc=1
  2. Enter your Uppsala University email address.
    If your email address is denied, you can start over and enter "akkaid@anst.uu.se" as the e-mail address where "akkaid" is your university ID (AKKA-ID).
  3. Once your university eligibility has been confirmed, you will receive an email to the address you provided above. That email contains a button/link to the page for logging on to the Microsoft Home User Program. Here you need to sign in with your own private Microsoft account to purchase software and other products.

NOTE: You must have your own private Microsoft account. The account is free. You should not register your private Microsoft account with your university email address. If you do not have a private Microsoft account, click on the "Skapa ett!" ( create a new account).
