Clarification of terms - functional account
End date
Set a date – up to 2 years ahead – for how long the account will be used. An extension query will be sent out automatically before the end date is reached.
If no date is set, the end date will be set to 2 years from the current date.
Display name
The display name is mainly used for two things:
- as a sender name in front of the email address in the email message
- as a display name in the global address book, where you can search for contact details in Exchange.
It is important to choose a good display name, so that the person searching for contact details for a function can easily find the right function (maximum length 50 characters).
Functional email address
The email address of the functional account must end with @uu.se. The address may be a maximum of 50 characters.
Account manager
The University ID (AKKA ID) of the person responsible for the account is entered here. The account manager must be an employee of Uppsala University. Only the account manager can request changes to the account.
For a full functional account, the account manager may do the following:
- retrieve account details from Reception
- give account details to persons who are to have access to the functional account
- request an extension of the account once the audit of the functional accounts has been performed
- request the transfer of the account to another manager.
