Outcome after moderate-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) with diffuse axonal injury (DAI)
Project description
The project is a cooperation between rehabilitation medicine and neurosurgery. Aim is to analyse outcome in different aspects in patients aged 16 – 65 years at time for injury and which factors that are of importance for outcome – grade of DAI, age, time to recover. Outcome is analysed in comparing GOSE (Glasgow Outcome Scale Extended) from a follow-up as a part of the TBI-register with a later follow-up 1-5 years after injury. In the late follow-up also aspects as ability to work or study, performance in activities of daily living, ability to carry out leisure activities and the aspect of life satisfaction are studied.
